Windows 3.1 Running in VmPlayer under Win XPI wanted to show my kid what the 'old' stuff looked like so I knocked up this Win 3.1 system running under VmPlayer on a Windows XP platform. I burnt DOS 6.22 and Win 3.1 to a couple of CD's (I still have a legal copy of Win 3.1 so I figured this was ok). I used EasyVMX to create the basic VMX file then booted VmPlayer from the DOS CD. Then I used FDISK and FORMAT to setup the virtual C drive and make it bootable, then booted from the new DOS C drive. After editing autoexec and config.sys to add the CD support I rebooted then ran the Windows 3.1 setup from the CD. I had a problem ending the Win 3.1 setup program and had to fudge a few things with the autoexec and config.sys but it wasn't too bad. code pour embarquer la vidéo : >>> http://www.youtube.com/embed/DZdQSXUzL-Q <<< |
