Creating DNS Records in Windows 2008

DNS is the most important service in your Active Directory Environment. This standards-based service is used to locate everything from web sites to domain controllers to global catalog servers. If your DNS isn't set up properly, you won't even be able to log on to a Windows domain environment.
In this video, Senior Technical Instructor Doug Bassett shows you how to create a variety of DNS records to support your network environment. He shows you how to create SOA, NS, A, CNAME, PTR and SRV records. He provides detailed information on each record, including the usage, optimization and any "gotcha's" associated.
If you want to learn more about DNS, including working with Active Directory and ensuring proper configuration, optimization and security, please attend either the Network Infrastructure course or the Active Directory Administration course.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
