www.theipadguru.com Users have been reporting issues with the iPad's WiFi signal strength and it's ability to connect to WiFi networks. Apparently this issue has to do with the signal strength of the WiFi radio being linked to the brightness of the screen. Specifically if the screen brightness is at the lowest setting when the iPad wakes from sleep, you get a poor WiFi signal. To fix it, simply increase your screens brightness. It's a lame fix but it's the easiest method until Apple fixes the issue permanently.
