EXPAND DESCRIPTION FOR LINK TO PLUGIN

I used the ProLost Rebel CC Preset to adjust my colors and followed the video tutorial to have a more cinematic look.

I highly recommend Stu Maschwitz's book:
The DV Rebel's Guide: An All-Digital Approach to Making Killer Action Movies on the Cheap

Free tutorial and plugin here (not mine):
http://prolost.blogspot.com/2006/10/rebel-cc.html

Stu is the creator of the plug-in and a DV master. The book gives a lot of tips about how to make great effects inexpensively and he talks a lot about After Effects.

I sampled my blacks, grays, and whites, then set the shadow highlight to a very light blue, mid to a light green and highlights to a light yellow. I desaturated all then boosted the greens just a bit. I used After Effects to apply the preset then Premiere to edit the final sequence.

These are just the settings that I chose, you can make it warmer colors or make it really cold coloring and desaturated (or all red like old faded film) if you want. Don't think it only has one way to change the colors... it's very flexible.
