The 2nd video for the 2011 Research Tools (ESCI 895-03) at the University of New Hampshire in the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping (CCOM). This video covers directory edit (dired) mode, M-x shell, additional text manipulations (ispell, capitalization, M-x replace-string), M-x grep, speedbar, and erc for irc, and creating very simple scripts.
