For those with no facility to edit HD material then by using a free convertor from koyotesoft.com called "free Video Convertor v 2.9.0.0" then the .mts files from panasonic lumix cameras can be converted into avi files for edit with Microsofts free video edit program Windows Moviemaker ( on XP) or Windows Live Moviemaker on later OS. I have attempted to show that this is a viable program for those new to video editing and are being frustrated at handling avchd lite files as they have no suitable edit program.
