This tutorial describes Subversion and shows how to upload files onto a Subversion repository using TortoiseSVN. Installing Tortoise SVN •http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads Using Tortoise SVN 1.Open the folder you want to submit in the explorer 2.Right click, open the repo-browser 3.The first time, youll need to type in the server information, specified with your net ID, which can be found on the CS project page (ex. svn+ssh://(csid)@schizo.cs.byu.edu/users/groups/cs235(csid)/cs235/) 4.You may need to enter in your username/password several times for permission to open the page 5.Create lab folders on the SVN repository (title them lab1, lab2, lab3, etc.) 6.Enter log messages as prompted by typing a description of the changes youve made 7.Back in the explorer window, right click the folder you want to upload and select SVN checkout 8.The URL of repository is where you are loading your folder to (ex. netID/cs235/lab2) The checkout directory is where the files are located on your computer (ex.
