Ignatus - Faits divers.wmvFrom 1989 to 1995, ignatus (known then by his real name Jérôme Rousseaux) was the singer and writer of a French pop duet called "Les Objets" (2 LPs on Columbia, 2 videos with Michel Gondry...). Soon after the duo disbanded, ignatus worked on samples to give a new dimension to his songs. His style is based on "chanson française" (Serge Gainsbourg, Boris Vian, Barbara...) but also with strong influences from pop-rock and electronic music (Drum & Bass, trip-hop, jungle, techno ...). He uses samples to provoke sound accidents and give special effects to his songs. Lyrics are sometimes dark, sometimes sceptical, often ironic. He writes small stories for reviews, radios and webzine. He hiked through France in 1995 (1.250 km from north to south, 70 days, alone). He lives in Paris with his family. He writes music for cinema and theatre. He writes lyrics and produces albums for others. code pour embarquer la vidéo : >>> http://www.youtube.com/embed/LMMEokFk404 <<< |
