On Ilkla Moor Baht 'At - Colonel P.Hart (Peter Hayward) ...Recorded during an informal afternoon session during an organ festival, as a change from the regular organ concerts Peter Hayward took to the old grand piano, in the guise of Colonel P.Hart - (a 'Victorian Serenader') - to give his audience a mixture of comedy, music and song, including the good old northern favourite "On Ilkla Moor Baht'At" (ie. "On Ilkla Moor Without a Hat") : 1) Where hast thou been since I saw thee...? On Ilkla Moor baht 'at. 2) Thou's gonna catch thou death o' cold! 3) Then we shall have to bury thee. 4) Then t' worms'll come and eat thee up. 5) Then ducks'll come and eat up t' worms. 6) Then WE shall come and eat up t' ducks. 7) Then we shall all have eat o' thee! A great old song which (together with Smoke Gets in Your Eyes) must have done wonders for Crematoriums/Crematoria (delete as prefered). Incidently, in the original programme - the name P.Hart appeared without the fullstop... and was pronounced as written... how VERY rude !!
