LV MUGEN Special: Roll's and Kojuro's Initiation Into Team WindStreakersAfter taking some thought into it, and at least ONE rage-inducing battle, Team WindStreakers have two new members: Roll by Thomas Hsieh and Katakura Kojuro by Neat Unsou. After fighting Alty, Megaman couldn't help but notice her younger sister's improved ablilities and asked if she can join. Of course, I couldn't say no to a close sibling relationship... and very soon, a potential sibiling rivalry. As for Kojuro, he's going to be the Sengoku Basara X representative of Team WindStreakers as he doesn't get as much love as Date and Sanada. (I couldn't believe how many people had Sanada until recently.) Now, for their initiation matches. Match #1: Roll (Thomas Hsieh) vs. Roll (Ibukah) This is definitely not of Alty difficulty, but Ibukah's Roll is still an annoying creation to fight. She's similar to Buster Megaman as she is a custom Roll that uses a lot of Megaman moves from the games, such as the Super Arm, Charge Kick, Time Stopper, Top Spin, and the Knight Crusher... to name a few. The problem is that she has WAY too many moves without having a different mode to access them. She has a lack of cooldown which gives her an unnecesary combo making advantage, which could also be due to a lack of juggle points (this could make the Top Spin the most abusable move in her arsenal). He's also a bit of a opportunistic blockwhore. This became more of a defensive battle if anything as any move that Ibukah's Roll can make, if allowed, can cause some serious problems. So I had to play just as defensive and just as opportunistic to beat her. So lots of Rock (Mega) Busters, Rush Drills, and any available air combos will due. This was quite a lengthy battle for characters that are, "a tier-of their own". Oh, and Megaman can be a meanie at times. :P With this, Buster Megaman will step down as leader of the Blue Bomber Brigade and Roll will take his place as the Classic Megaman Series Represenative. Tron Bonne will now take responsibility as the Blue Bomber Brigade leader. Don't worry, Megaman is still the overall Team WindStreakers' leader. Stage: Mishio's Stage (EFZ) BGM: Kaze Yo Tsutaete (Buster Core Meltdown mix) by Chibi-Tech (Chiptuned Rockman) Match #2: Kojuro vs. SLOWDOWN... um, I mean, Eddie (Muteki, Lv. 11 AI) Two and a half RAGE-inducing days to try and beat this P.O.S. Pesonally, I think that this GG conversion by Muteki is his worst after Faust. So much priority and crap that comes along with him just makes my blood boil. Not only that, but thanks to how overpowered Muteki's characters are, their combos can dish out insane amounts of damage. However, it is notably apparent in Eddie's case. He can whip out 100% COMBOS thanks to some BS damaging values/dampeners (or lack thereof), and not enough juggling points to stop the onslaught. Add to that the apparent slowdown that makes yet another appearance (having Kojuro fight as well didn't help matters much) made overall movement a complete and total hassle. Getting Eddie from the air with an aerial hard attack is key to get some distance and give you plenty of time to make the next attack possible. There's also the matter of his Burst as I had to coerce him to use it early so that he couldn't use it later in an inopportune time. Then, it's all a matter of comboing him like mad when he's open, and stay on the defensive when Eddie attacks, especially when he uses the creature, itself, to attack. I still hate the fact that I couldn't appropriately block/dodge his overhead attacks and his Dust that looks like it could be blocked low. But all in all, he was defeated. However, for all the BS he did, I couldn't let him get away that easy. Besides, the people are going to be asking for it to be done eventually. By the way, I got a small little message about that, so keep watching until the end. Forced humor, FTL. :P One final message on the fight, for every stall that I made in the fight, it was due to in-game slowdown and stalling due to them being hi-res characters and the fact that some of the audio had to process in the fight (that's more on the fault of Kojuro's sound file). Just had to get that out so no one would think that I was just pussyfooting around when I had openings to attack. Stage: The Shrine - Blue (Melty Blood) BGM: Sore ga susumu beki Machi dakara (Namco x Capcom) ================================ Vucious' Random Rant: On the subject of the video itself, don't mind the small print as I was messing with video quality again. Yep, messing around with DoubleRes in the MUGEN configuration. Gives me good sprite quality, but makes low-res lifebars hella tiny, but then again, I never cared about small-print in lifebars as long as I can tell if I'm winning and losing. Well, at least things look clearer, so I can manage a small sacrifice like that. code pour embarquer la vidéo : >>> http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ujo1ngxHPZU <<< |
