Automated Trading - FXCM's Strategy Trader Platform Tour | Forex TradingExplore FXCM's Strategy Trader Platform for Forex Trading. http://www.fxcm.com/automated-forex-trading.jsp Strategy Trader Walk-through Welcome to FXCMs Strategy Trader video tour. Strategy Trader is an exciting platform offering, designed specifically for clients who automate their trading. The platform is a turnkey solution allowing you to code strategies, run back-tests, optimize strategy inputs, and trade, all from one place. Strategy Trader can be used with any non-hedging Standard or Micro account. And Strategy Trader can be used in tandem with FXCM's Trading Station II platform, allowing you to combine the Trading Station's powerful manual trading functionality with Strategy Trader's robust automation capabilities. You can do all of this from one account, at no extra cost. Let's now take a look at the features available within Strategy Trader. From the dealing rates window you can see live streaming rates, provided to FXCM from over 10 global banks and financial institutions. You can also see current spreads, the high and low of the trading day, financing charges or daily rollover rates, pip costs, and minimum margin requirements. In addition to showing useful trading information, you can drag and drop an instrument from the dealing rates window to quickly change the instrument displayed on a chart. The charting functionality in Strategy Trader is at a professional level. For example, you have access to fully customizable time frames. If you want a 24-tick chart simply select the chart, type 24ticks on our computer keyboard and select enter. For a 32-minute chart, type 32minute and hit enter. The options are limitless. You also have access to advanced charting tools like Fibonacci lines and Gann tools. And price data can be displayed in line, candlestick, bar, line break, renko, kagi, and point and figure modes. Below the dealing rates window is the navigation window. Strategy Trader comes preloaded with over 100 indicators and several strategies so you can get started right out of the box. Of course, if you're comfortable programming in C# you can also code custom indicators and strategies as well. Adding an indicator or strategy to a chart is a simple drag and drop process. If a strategy has been added, make sure to select the "auto" button in the top left of the chart, to activate your strategy for live trading. Select the "auto" button again to deactivate the strategy. It's worth noting that you can manage multiple trading accounts from within Strategy Trader. This allows you to automated different strategies on separate accounts. For example, you could use a strategy that trades the EUR/USD long on one account and a strategy that trades the EUR/USD short on separate account. Or you might want to use a scalping strategy on one account and a position trading strategy on a separate account. It's entirely up to you. After loading a strategy onto a chart, you can make use of Strategy Trader's advanced analytic tools to evaluate the past performance of your strategy and make adjustments if necessary. With over 500,000 bars of 1-minute data, which is roughly 1 full year of data, and with the ability to back-test using bid and ask pricing, Strategy Trader puts highly usable data in your hands in a relatively short period of time. Over 40 performance reports are available to you, providing basic and institutional level analytics. And you can optimize your strategies with Exhaustive, Genetic and Walk Forward optimization. Optimization capabilities are typically only found in fee-based platforms. But with Strategy Trader, optimization comes standard, free of charge. Keeping track of your account and trading positions can be done from the Account Manager window. The account tab displays things like account balance, equity, profit and loss, and your margin levels. The positions tab provides the details of your open positions. You can see things like the instrument you're trading, your average entry price and your real-time profit and loss. The orders tab keeps a running log of all orders you've placed. And the logs tab provides a comprehensive history of the actions you've taken on the platform including, when you logged in and out, and when and what changes you made to your strategy settings. Before moving on, this is a good time to reinforce how the Trading Station II platform can be used in tandem with the Strategy Trader platform. You can see from the positions tab that there are two positions open in my account. While Strategy Trader is open I can also log in to the Trading Station II platform and sure enough the same trades are visible here. And I can close or edit these trades from Trading Station II as well. So for traders who place manual trades and use trade automation, the combination of Strategy Trader and Trading Station II is hard to beat... code pour embarquer la vidéo : >>> http://www.youtube.com/embed/Cps6UkaopYI <<< |
