Animamix @ Robinsons Art GalleryAnimamix: a unique visual experience. KNOKKE -- As of February 3rd Robinsons Art Gallery presents renewing work by young Animamix artists that only recently exhibited in museums of contemporary art in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Taipei. Animamix Animamix combines elements from animated cartoons and comic strips. The name is a contraction of the words 'animation' and 'comics'. The artistic trend originates from Asia, but meanwhile has followers all over the world imitating the style and ideas. Stylistic characteristics The artists switch from reality to fiction, using humour and satire. Their work, which usually has a strong narrative character, is exuberant and based on youth culture. Animamix therefore creates a new and unique experience.
